ve you a feel of how these values can fluctuate on a daily basis and the importance
of monitoring glucose levels yourself in an advanced diabetic cat. Each day is
a surprise when it comes to personalized testing like this. One day you think you’ve
got a rhythm going as far as how many units should be injected and the next day
you are back to square one. In Norman’s case, there is no consistency from one day
to the next.

and feeding times are monitored and regular daily feeding times have been established,
but somehow his pancreas is extremely unpredictable and prone to its own peculiar
functioning. That’s why it is important for you to try and master this little operation

Note: Precaution must always be taken
when administering insulin and performing this testing procedure yourself. Your
personal decision to make insulin adjustments with disregard to recommended dosages
could result in hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia seizures possibly resulting in mortality.
If your cat's blood sugar is too high and can’t be read on a glucometer do not overreact
by injecting too much insulin which may result in a critical lowering of blood glucose
levels to swing your animal into a possible critical situation known as hypoglycemia
(too low a blood sugar level). It is suggested that you visit the websites mentioned
previously in order to educate yourself to these procedures.
