Our food will be shipped fresh frozen to your door. It will allow you the opportunity to thaw and serve our product at your cat’s convenience. Fresh shipments can be ordered. Prior arrangements with Feline’s Pride, is required. Please e-mail us so we may be able to help you with this option. Fresh shipments may allow you the opportunity to portion control food for your cat’s individual needs and will allow you the convenience of doing the first time freezing process yourself. Our product is manufactured with only the freshest of ingredients. Please do not microwave food under any circumstances. It might be convenient but microwaving can disturb the delicate, nutritional blend and balance of the ingredients. Thawing at room temperature is the safest and easiest. If you follow good safe handling procedures, you should enjoy at least five days with a thawed food container. For those of you that are in a real hurry to thaw, you can float a container in a sink of warm water at approximately 70 - 75 degrees. Before serving, you can dish out what you need for a meal and warm it to room temperature in a plastic bag by running it briefly under warm water. That will cut your thawing time considerably. Thaw only what you will be using for a few days. I usually serve out about 5- 6 ounces of food per cat per feeding. For example, if you have three cats and each one is eating around 6 ounces per feeding you would need  to thaw at least one 2½ pound container every couple of days. My guys usually gobble everything up and nothing is left over but for those of you that have critters with leftovers, I would suggest discarding what crumbs might be left after an hour.

Note: For some odd reason my guys accept food either cold or warm. Needless to say, I’m not a stickler for throwing out a little leftover food and will leave it out except during warm weather. Do not leave original containers sitting out. Original containers and their contents should be stored back in the refrigerator and kept chilled until gone. Food that is thawed from it’s original frozen state should last about a week under proper refrigeration. Do not refreeze leftovers. Since we use popular name brand food containers for our product, just wash them up and use them again for people food. Further feeding questions and answers may be found on our….. (FAQ) page.  If you have additional questions not answered on the site, please feel free to contact us.
